Academic Life: Opportunities and Study Paths in Germany (Interaction with Safa P)

On October 20, 2024, Ibn Al-Haytham Academy had the privilege of hosting an enlightening session titled ‘Academic Life: Opportunities and Study Paths in Germany’, led by Safa P, an accomplished scholar in the field of Sociology and Modern Indian Studies. Currently pursuing her MA at the University of Göttingen, Germany, with a focus on the Anthropology of Power, Safa holds previous degrees from Farook College and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Her research has examined the experiences of Malabari women in post-rebellious social contexts.

The session covered essential information for students interested in academic opportunities in Germany, offering insights into the application process, scholarship options, and lifestyle considerations. Safa also shared her own academic journey and the motivations behind her research, which enriched the session with real-life perspectives on studying abroad. The event concluded with a Q&A, allowing students to ask specific questions and receive tailored advice from our guest.

The session was well-received, leaving our students to aspire for global academic paths and new perspectives in academic research.
