We are excited to announce that Yasin Fayaz, our second-year BA English with Journalism student, has presented his paper, “Migrant Masjid Imams in Kerala: An Analytical Study on Social Integration,” at the International Conference on Migration: Transitions, Traits, Trajectories organized by the Department of English, MES Mampad College.
This presentation is part of Yasin’s ethnographic research, which involves visiting 100 prominent masjids in Kerala led by migrant imams, for a documentary he is creating on the same subject.
Previously, Yasin presented his paper “Migrant Laborers in Kerala: Marginality and the Dynamics of Social Integration” at Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad.
