During our twelve-day academic trip to Delhi, students of Ibn Al-Haytham Academy got an exceptional opportunity to visit the Indian Centre for Islamic Finance (ICIF). The ICIF team organized a mini workshop highlighting the importance, relevance, and possibilities of Islamic finance in India and across the world.
H. Abdur Raqeeb, the General Secretary of ICIF, provided a comprehensive explanation of ICIF’s vision and activities, leaving a lasting impact on our students. The ICIF promotes and envisions for an Islamic economy; financial systems based on Islamic economic principles. The workshop underlined the ethics and benefits of the Islamic financial system that accommodates growth and financial benefits for all segments of the society, especially the marginalized and unorganized sector.
The session was further enriched by the presence of SIO National President Ramees EK.
